This Rhubarb, Ginger and Chilli Preserve is made with both Rhubarb that was purchased on our first visit to the Wakefield Rhubarb Fest in Feb 2017, where we bough a crown of Timperly Early rhubarb and a crown of Victoria rhubarb and from rhubarb that's been swapped for sauces from lovely people in our village here in Witton Gilbert.
The Habanero chillies and apples inside are also homegrown in our garden and greenhouse.
We hope you enjoy this wonderfully fruity preserve with meats, or a ploughman’s lunch.
It will go great in stews and casseroles. We tried it on ice cream and it was delicious, or simply spread it on toast when ever the mood takes you.
Ingredients: Rhubarb (43%), Apple, Pineapple, Demerara sugar, Habanero chilli (6.7%), Lemon Juice and Ginger (1.31%)
